Tennessee looks for 10th Southeastern Conference win of the season in Oxford, Miss.
OXFORD, Miss. – The No. 25 University of Tennessee volleyball team travels to Oxford for a match-up with the Ole Miss Rebels on Friday evening in Gillom Athletics Performance Center.

The Lady Vols (18-5, 9-2 Southeastern Conference) will look to continue their momentum as they have won the past five and have won seven of their last eight matches. Tennessee is coming off of a win at Georgia that saw the Lady Vols battle back from two sets down to win the match in five sets over the Bulldogs.

Ole Miss (13-12, 3-8 SEC) is coming into the matchup winning two of their last four matches which includes a win at Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. On Sunday. The Rebels are led by Emily Stroup who averages 4.95 points per set and enters the match at first in the SEC in kills per set at a 4.53 clip.

MILESTONE WATCH
Senior Erica Treiber enters the match just five blocks away from surpassing Araina Wilson for fourth all-time in program history with 466 blocks. Fellow senior Brooke Schumacher, who is currently seventh in Tennessee in career digs with 1,300, needs 38 digs to enter into the top five in all-time program history and 12 to tie for sixth.

For the first time since the 2012 season, Tennessee was ranked in the top 25 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). The Lady Vols were receiving votes in seven of the previous nine weeks. Tennessee also moved up to No. 30 in the RPI as released by the NCAA on Monday. It is the teams highest position of the season, jumping eight spots from last week.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Tessa Grubbs was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week and Addisyn Rowe was named Defensive Player of the Week. Grubbs 41 kills (5.13 kills per set) this week were the most she has had in back-to-back matches this season. It included Sunday when she set a new career-high with 27 kills (5.40 kills per set) to help Tennessee back from 2-0 sets down against Georgia.

Rowe proved key in the come-from-behind victory over Georgia on Sunday. The sophomore registered a career-high eight blocks in the match which included her final block that ended the match at 15-11 in the fifth set.
