KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee women's tennis team is set to compete in its first home event of the fall season, hosting the annual Tennessee Fall Invite at Goodfriend Tennis Center.
The Lady Vols will welcome IUPUI, Ohio State and Wake Forest to Knoxville for the three-day event.
The event will not feature draws, rather coaches will set their teams' lineups each day. Play will begin each day with two teams facing off in dual-style singles play, followed by all four teams taking part in doubles. Each day will conclude with another singles dual-style match, featuring the two teams that did not compete in the match that started the day.
The Tennessee Fall Invite comes on the heels of the Lady Vols' performance at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in Chattanooga. Gabby Schuck and Sadie Hammond advanced to the semifinals of the doubles main draw, while Kaitlin Staines and Ariadna Riley made it to the quarterfinal round of singles.
Admission is free for the entire weekend, so come out and support the Lady Vols in their first home event of the season at Goodfriend Tennis Center, starting at 2 p.m. Friday.
