Shaw Garners Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week Award

CULVER CITY, Calif. -- Tennessee's Bunny Shaw was named the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Player of the Week, as announced by the publication Tuesday morning. The senior forward logged two goals and two assists as the Vols defeated LSU and No. 5 Texas A&M.

A native of Spanish Town, Jamaica, Shaw returned to Rocky Top last week after helping her Jamaican National Team seal its first-ever World Cup bid at the CONCACAF Championships. In her first day back on campus, Shaw tallied the golden goal on a header to lift UT past LSU 2-1 in double overtime.

Shaw was a key factor in UT's 4-0 upset victory at No. 5 Texas A&M, recording assists on the first two Tennessee goals before scoring her own to put the Vols ahead 3-0. The win in College Station was UT's first road victory over a top-5 opponent in program history.

In addition to honors from TopDrawerSoccer, Shaw was additionally selected as the SEC Offensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon. The senior striker leads Tennessee with nine goals in nine games this season, with five of those being game-winners.

Shaw and Tennessee's six other seniors will be honored prior to Thursday night's match against Missouri. Kickoff for the regular-season finale is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium.
