VOLLEYBALL CENTRAL: at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Tennessee volleyball looks for a weekend sweep when it travels to LSU on Sunday afternoon.

The Lady Vols (15-5, 6-2 Southeastern Conference) are coming off of a five-set thriller against Texas A&M Friday night in College Station, Texas. Backed by 19 kills from junior Tessa Grubbs and a career-high six service aces from senior Erica Treiber, Tennessee grabbed its second road victory and moved to 3-0 in five-set matches in conference action.

LSU (7-12, 2-6 SEC) hosted No. 15 Kentucky Friday night as the Tigers were swept by the Wildcats. The host Tigers are led by sophomore right side Taylor Bannister who leads the Tigers with 4.39 kills per set which ranks fourth in the conference.

The match will air on SEC Network+ with the first serve scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (ET) in Baton Rouge, La.

DOUBLE-DIGIT X14
After having 19 kills in the win over Texas A&M, junior Tessa Grubbs has now had 14 games this season with double-digit kills in 16 matches played. The Tega City, S.C. native leads the team and ranks sixth in the SEC with 3.69 kills per set entering Sunday's match-up

The University of Tennessee volleyball team grabbed its sixth victory of Southeastern Conference play with a five-set win over Texas A&M.
- The Lady Vols were able to force Texas A&M's offense out of system from the early part of the match. This helped Tennessee limit Aggie outside hitter Hollann Hans, who came into the match leading the conference in points per set (5.23). Hans finished with a season-high 12 hitting errors.

Tessa Grubbs matched her then career-high with 23 kills but the Lady Volunteers volleyball team lost Friday to conclude the 2017 season at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Lady Vols won the first two sets before dropping the last match of the 2017 regular season.

STANDOUT STAT
With a career-high six aces in the match, senior Erica Treiber now ranks sixth in the SEC with 0.35 aces/set. She is the only power-5 player to rank in the top six in hitting percentage (.396/2nd), blocks/set (1.06/6th) and aces/set.

HANSEN
Junior Sedona Hansen recorded her 10th double-double of the season with a team-high 27 assists to go along with 12 digs against Texas A&M. She has tallied five of her double-doubles in conference play this season.

SCHUMACHER
Senior Brooke Schumacher heads into Sunday needing just 13 digs to tie Julie Knytych for eighth all-time with 1,265 digs. Schumacher is coming off of a 14-dig performance against the Aggies Friday night and has dug at a 3.05 dig/set rate this season.

Tennessee returns home to face off against the South Carolina Gamecocks in a midweek matchup between two of the conference's top teams. South Carolina enters their Sunday match vs. Georgia with a record of 14-4 holding a record of 5-3 in SEC play.
