Tennessee looks for third consecutive Southeastern Conference victory against the Crimson Tide Wednesday
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee volleyball team will host its first match of October on Wednesday evening against the University of Alabama (13-4, 1-3 SEC) in Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Lady Vols (12-4, 3-1 SEC) currently boast an 8-1 record at home with a weekend sweep over the Missouri Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Led by double-digit kills from senior Erica Treiber, sophomore Addisyn Rowe and freshman Lily Felts, Tennessee powered past Arkansas in the five sets on Sunday, hitting .375 in the final set while holding the Razorbacks to .048 in the frame.

The Crimson Tide are coming off back-to-back home losses to South Carolina and Florida this past weekend in Tuscaloosa. Alabama was swept in both matches but, comes in to Knoxville as the No. 27 team in the initial volleyball RPI which was released on Monday.

SISTER-SISTER
Freshman Raquel Perinar will be facing off against her sister Ginger Wednesday night. The Perinar sisters are two of five siblings that play or have played volleyball at the collegiate level. Ginger is a junior outside hitter for the Crimson Tide.

Madison Coulter finished with team-high 13 kills while hitting .407. Stephanie Buss recorded 12 kills and a .393 hitting percentage, while Alyssa Andreno closed out the double-digit kills with 10 to go along with a .450 hitting percentage.
STANDOUT STAT
For the fifth consecutive match and sixth in the last seven, Sedona Hansen recorded a double-double with a season-high 38 assists and 12 digs in the five-set win over Arkansas. She is the only player in the SEC to have nine or more double-doubles this season.
NUMERO UNO
With a .600 hitting percentage in Friday's win over Missouri, senior Erica Treiber now sits atop the SEC in hitting percentage this season at a .416 clip which puts her in the top 10 nationally. Treiber has had two errors or less in 13 of 16 matches this season.

Treiber is the only Power-5 player in the country to rank in top nine in their conference in hitting percentage (.416/1st), blocks/set (1.06/7th) and aces/set (0.31/9th).

Tennessee closes out its five-game homestand with a Sunday afternoon matchup with Mississippi State. The Bulldogs enter Wednesday with a 1-2 mark in SEC play with their win coming over Auburn last week in five sets.

- Tennessee came from 2-1 sets down to capture its third SEC victory of the season. Led by another double-digit kill match from senior Erica Treiber, the Lady Vols defeated the Razorbacks in five sets in Thompson-Boling Arena.
- It marked the first time this season that Tennessee defeated an opponent with a hitting percentage above .250 as the Razorbacks recorded .273 during the match. This was also the first win for the Lady Vols where they won with a lower hitting percentage than the opposition.
