Tennessee heads to the Lone Star State for a match-up between two of the SEC's top four teams

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After nine days off, the University of Tennessee volleyball continues a three-game road stretch at Texas A&M on Friday night.

The Lady Vols (14-5, 5-2 Southeastern Conference) and the Aggies (12-7, 5-2 SEC) enter the weekend in a tie for fourth place in the conference standings and just a half game back of Missouri for third. Tennessee will be in search of its second road win in the SEC after opening up the conference slate with a four-set win at Auburn.

Texas A&M enters the match-up winners of its last two matches with a sweep over Auburn on Friday and a five-set win at Georgia on Sunday. Aggie junior outside hitter Hollann Hans leads the conference is points/set at 5.23 while ranking second in aces/set (0.52) and kills/set (4.49).

The match will air on SEC Network+ with the first serve scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (ET) in College Station, Texas.

With the help of a career-best .403 hitting percentage so far this season, Treiber is just the second player in program history to average .355 hitting percentage in her career. Beverly Robinson (1982-83) is the only other at .359 in her career.

The University of Tennessee volleyball team fell to No. 16 Kentucky in four sets in Lexington, Ky. on Oct. 10. This was the second time this season the Lady Vols have gone four sets with the nationally-ranked Wildcats. They are one of just two teams to take a set off of Kentucky in SEC play.
- Callie Williams was one dig short of completing her first double-double of the season, finishing with a team-high 23 assists to go along with nine digs. SEC Freshman of the Week Lily Felts totaled a team-high eight kills.

Sedona Hansen and Madison Coulter each recorded a double-double in a 3-2 road loss to the Aggies of Texas A&M at Reed Arena.

Hansen recorded her 11th double-double of the 2017 season with 23 assists and 23 digs while moving into 10th all-time on Tennessee's assists list with 1,536 total assists. Coulter recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 21 digs in the loss.

Tennessee is the only Southeastern Conference team in conference play to rank in the top four in hitting percentage (.245/4th), opponent hitting percentage (.183/4th) + assists (12.59/4th) and kills (13.75/2nd).

TREIBER
Senior Erica Treiber has had two errors or less in 15 matches this season. She has only had one match with 3+ in the last 12 matches. Treiber has hit .400 or better in 11 matches this season including three in conference play.

NEXT UP
Tennessee continues its weekend road stretch against LSU on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers were one of four SEC teams to advance to the NCAA Tournament last season. They enter this weekend with a 7-11 record and a 2-5 mark in conference play.
