Vol Seniors Power Through Day Three of ITA Ohio Valley Regional

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee co-captains Timo Stodder and Preston Touliatos are the last Vols remaining in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship main draws following Saturday's action at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
The UT senior duo, seeded second in the tournament, picked up back-to-back doubles victories to advance to the semifinals. Stodder/Touliatos opened the day with an 8-5 win over Chaw/Caffarena (Lipscomb) before topping SEC foes Penzkofer/Huempfner (Kentucky) 8-3.
Andrew Rogers/Pat Harper split two matches Thursday morning, first defeating Wesbrooks/Filho of Louisville 8-6 before falling to Butler's Shabat/Dragos 8-6 in the quarterfinals.
Top-seeded Stodder (Berlin, Germany) earned a three-set singles win over Indiana's Brandon Lam by a score of 6-0, 3-6, 6-2 to move on to the quarterfinals. Touliatos and Scott Jones each fell in the round of 16 to end their respective runs at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional.
