Stodder's Run Ends at Fall Nationals

PALM DESERT, Fla. — Tennessee junior Timo Stodder's run at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships ended in the round of 16 Friday.Â
Stodder won the first set in the tiebreaker but could not sustain the momentum in a 6-7(1), 6-3, 6-1 loss to fifth-seeded Martin Redlicki of UCLA. The Vol junior is now 12-4 this season.Â
Tennessee will host the Knoxville Challenger, now the largest professional tennis tournament in the state, beginning Sunday at Goodfriend Tennis Center.Â
