KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee volleyball team will celebrate the playing careers of Stephanie Buss, Mackenzie Cooler, Kanisha Jimenez and Kendra Turner as they play their final matches at Thompson-Boling Arena on Friday versus LSU.

The Lady Vols (12-14, 5-12 SEC) will look to end the regular season on a winning note when Tennessee hosts the Tigers (19-8, 10-6 SEC) on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The match will be available on SEC Network+ and the WathcESPN app.

THE SENIORS

Mackenzie Cooler, a native of Ridgeland, S.C. and has been on the Tennessee volleyball team for two years. She appeared in 11 matches at setter. She is majoring in audiology & speech pathology and was on the SEC academic honor roll.
Stephanie Buss, a native of Sioux Falls, S.D. and has been with the Lady Vols for the past three years. She has 184 career kills and 81 career blocks at Tennessee at middle blocker. Buss is majoring in accounting and was on the SEC academic honor roll.
Kendra Turner, a native of LaPlace, La. and has spent the past four years at outside hitter for Tennessee. She has 633 career kills and 123 career blocks during her college career for the Big Orange.
Kanisha Jimenez, a native of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico has played outside hitter for the Tennessee Lady Vols all four years of her career. She has 666 career kills, 739 career digs and 206 career blocks.

FINAL STAND

Tennessee will play its final match of the regular season on Friday night when they host the LSU Tigers. The Lady Vols won the first meeting between the two teams 3-0 in Baton Rouge.
The Lady Vols are 9-5 in matches played at Thompson-Boling Arena this season.
Individual highs in home matches this year: kills (20 – Tessa Grubbs), assists (46 – Williams), digs (28 – Brooke Schumacher), blocks (11 – Alyssa Andreno) and aces (5 – Williams).

LAST WEEK

Tennessee went 1-1 last week by defeating Ole Miss 3-1 on this past Friday and then falling to Georgia 3-0 on this past Sunday.
Tessa Grubbs recorded team-high kills on both nights. She had 13 kills against Ole Miss and then 11 kills against Georgia. She averaged 3.43 k/s and had a hitting percentage of .303.
Callie Williams recorded her fourth double-double of the season against Ole Miss with 46 assists and 12 digs. The 46 assists were a career-high for Williams and were the most by a player this season.
Erica Treiber finished the weekend with a .459 hitting percentage with 18 kills.

Last Match: Grubbs had a team-high 11 kills and a .375 hitting percentage as Tennessee picked up a 3-0 road win against the Tigers of LSU. Breana Jeter had a hitting percentage of .438, while Alyssa Andreno had one of .455 for the Lady Vols and they combined for 17 kills as UT picked up its second road win of the season.

FAMILY TIES

Madison Coulter's grandfather, Kenny Coulter, also was a student-athlete at Tennessee. Kenny lettered three years as a guard on the Tennessee basketball team from 1956-59. The Maryville, Tennessee, native was the Vols' second-leading scorer as a senior in 1958-59, averaging 14.0 ppg. A former college basketball official, Kenny now works as an officials' observer at UT home games. Madison is averaging 1.20 kills per set and is hitting .128 with 106 kills on the season.
Breana Jeter is the younger sister of former Lady Vol Kayla Jeter, who played for UT from 2008-14 as an outside hitter. Kayla finished her career at Tennessee with a .262 hitting percentage and 934 kills and 229 blocks. Breana has a current hitting percentage of .188 and averages 1.93 kills per set with 131 kills on the season.
Callie Williams is the daughter of a volleyball coach Jason Williams (assistant at Baylor) and a volleyball All-American in Cory Williams. Cory (Sivertson) Williams played volleyball at Baylor where she is the only volleyball player to be inducted into the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame. Callie, a setter like her mom, has 486 assists this season averaging 4.96 assist per set.
Sedona Hansen is the daughter of a two-time WCWS National Champion Lisa Guise-Hansen. Lisa, was an infielder and outfielder from 1990-93, helping lead Arizona to a Women's College World Series National Championships in 1991 and 1993. She hit .230 in her career with 10 doubles and 59 RBI.
