Stodder Advances to Round of 16 at Fall Nationals

PALM DESERT, Calif. — Tennessee junior Timo Stodder completed a three-set comeback Thursday at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships to reach the round of 16 at a collegiate major the first time.

Stodder defeated Baylor's Bjoern Peterson 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in the second round to advance. He will face fifth-seeded Martin Redlicki of UCLA.

The Vol junior is now a team-leading 12-3 this season.
