#21 Vols Power Past #24 Ole Miss, 6-4

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The No. 21 ranked Tennessee soccer team (11-1-1, 3-1-1) outpaced No. 24 Ole Miss (9-3-1, 2-3-0) on Thursday night at Regal Soccer Stadium before a crowd of 1,088.
Juniors Anna Bialczak and Rylie O'Keefe scored two goals each to power the Vols to the high-scoring victory, the most the team has scored in an SEC match in five seasons.
Tennessee opened up its scoring on the night with a goal in the 12th minute from Khadija Shaw on a through ball from Anna Bialczak. Just one minute later, Bialczak found the net herself on a header, which put the Volunteers up 2-0 early.
Tennessee wasn't finished early on, as Rylie O'Keefe found her second goal of the season in the 22nd minute on an assist from Khadija Shaw.
Ole Miss would answer the strong start from the Vols with a goal in the 22nd minute by Grace Johnson, on an assist by Channing Foster, leaving the score at 3-1 at the half. Tennessee doubled up Ole Miss on shot attempts in the first half, at 10-5.
Early in the second half, O'Keefe found the net again in the 49th minute from an assist by Erin Gilroy, her second career multi-goal game.
Foster added another goal for the Rebels in the 51st minute of the match, making the score 4-2. Ole Miss cut the deficit to one with a goal from CeCe Kizer in the 55th minute from an assist by Bella Fiorenzo.
Bialczak extended Tennessee's lead with her first career two-goal game, putting in a shot in the 56th minute off passes from Gilroy on the right side and Shaw in the middle.
Junior Danielle Marcano registered her first goal of the 2017 season in the 74th minute of the match to extend Tennessee's lead to 6-3. Ella Johnson piled on one more for the Rebels in the 81st minute on a long-distance free kick to make it 6-4, but Ole Miss could not close the gap in the final 10 minutes of regulation.
Ole Miss outshot Tennessee 21-18 in the match.
