KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Time to meet the second freshman on our soccer countdown. Let’s get to know all about midfielder Maddie Krejci!
Need to Know
Krejci (pronounced KRET-zee) hails from Naperville, Ill., where she was a standout player for Naperville North High School. After tallying 13 goals and seven assists as a senior, Krejci earned all-state honors and was recognized as the Naperville Sun Player of the Year. The 5-3 midfielder garnered all-area honors by the Daily Herald as a junior and was named the publications all-area captain as a senior after helping lead the Huskies to a 21-2-1 record to go along with conference, regional and sectional titles, falling one win shy of a state finals berth. Krejci also earned IHSSCA All-Sectional honors in 2015 and was named a unanimous All-DuPage Valley Conference selection as a junior and senior. Krejci finished her high school career with 43 goals and 23 assists.
Krejci played her club soccer for Eclipse Select and helped lead them to three consecutive State Cup titles (2011-13) and an Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) championship in 2014. Maddie chose to come to Tennessee over Missouri. Check out her entire bio HERE.

Fun Fact: On top of being a standout soccer player, Maddie was also an all-conference golfer in high school. Her brother, Kurt, played golf at College of DuPage and her grandfather, Jack, played golf at Duke.
