KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Next up on our countdown is redshirt sophomore Meghan Flynn, a versatile player that fans will see all over the field this season.
Need to Know
After redshirting in 2014 because of an injury, Flynn played in all 18 games and started the final two for the Vols last season. The Virginia native scored a pair of goals and assisted on another while playing primarily as a forward. The coaching staff plans to play Flynn primarily as an outside back this season as they look to replace Susan Ferguson, who graduated after last season. Meghan scored her first-career goal against No. 12 Florida on Oct. 9 and also added a highlight reel goal on a strike from distance against Kentucky on Oct. 25 last season.
The Yorktown High School was a prolific scorer during her prep career, tallying 54 goals and 31 assists. As a junior she scored 30 goals and had 18 assists while leading Yorktown to a National District Title for the third consecutive season. Flynn also earned National District Player of the Year recognition and Virginia All-State second-team honors in 2013. She chose Tennessee over Virginia, Villanova and Miami (Fla.). Favorite Soccer Memory: Scoring against Kentucky last season during my first start on Senior Night.

Favorite Thing About Tennessee: The tradition of excellence in women’s athletics and the school spirit as a whole. Also love all of my teammates and coaches, the Regal Rowdies and all of our fans.
