Vols Fall to Ole Miss, 4-1

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Tennessee women's tennis team fell on the road, 4-1, to No. 26 Ole Miss at Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center on Sunday.
The Vols (6-6, 0-2) were edged out by the Rebels (8-1, 1-1) for the doubles point to begin the match. UT won a match and tied things at 1-1 to begin singles, but Ole Miss went on to win on three courts in singles and take the match, 4-1.
In doubles, the team of freshman Kim Kermet and junior Brittany Lindl fell to the duo of Natalie Suk and Tea Jandric, 6-1, on Court 2. The duo of senior Tiffany Tavares and junior Ashlee Boles lost in their match against the team of Zalina Khairudinova and Marija Milutinovic, 6-3, on Court 3.
In singles, junior Eve Repic was the lone Vol to win a match, beating 79th-ranked Suk, 6-1, 6-3, on Court 2. It was Repic's first ranked singles win of the season. Kermet and fellow freshman Mary Caroline Meredith both fell in matches against ranked opponents.
Tennessee will be back in action Friday, as the Volunteers return home for the first time in a month to face the 29th-ranked Auburn Tigers at 3 p.m. ET at Barksdale Stadium.
