Seven Vols Earn Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Seven student-athletes from the Tennessee softball team earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.
Erin Gabriel, Rainey Gaffin, Megan Geer, Matty Moss, Abby Lockman, Kelsey Morrison and Bria Bush all earned recognition after posting GPA’s of 3.5 or higher during the 2015-16 academic school year.
In total, there were 1,240 Division I players who earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors and 5,152 player across all divisions of the NCAA. The Volunteers were one of eight Southeastern Conference teams with multiple players selected as scholar athletes.
