Softball Releases Fall Exhibition Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee softball team will play eight fall exhibition games in September and October as the Vols prepare for the upcoming 2016 season.
All of UT's fall exhibition games will be held at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium and admission is free.
On Sept. 26, Tennessee will host four games at Lee Stadium to kick off fall play. UT will face Alabama-Huntsville at 10:30 a.m. and Tennessee Tech at 1 p.m. Chipola will also play the Golden Eagles and the Chargers later in the day.
On Sept. 27, Lee and Chipola will play at 10:30 a.m. with Tennessee taking on each team in the afternoon. The Vols play Chipola at 1 p.m. and Lee at 3:30 p.m.
UT welcomes Tennessee State and Shorter on Oct. 4. TSU and Shorter open the day with a noon game. Tennessee plays TSU at 2:30 p.m. and Shorter right after at 5 p.m.
Tennessee wraps its fall exhibition slate Oct. 17 with games against Chattanooga State at 11 a.m. and Volunteer State at 1:30 p.m. Volunteer State and Chattanooga State will play each other at 4 p.m.
UT returns 10 players from its 2015 Women's College World Series and SEC Tournament runner-up squad, including NFCA All-American Rainey Gaffin and Capital One Academic All-American Erin Gabriel. Tennessee also welcomes the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation with 11 exciting newcomers.
