April 14, 2015 | Men's Tennis
Tennessee All-American senior Hunter Reese was named to the men's tennis SEC Community Service Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
Reese has been a leader on campus this year, serving as president of Tennessee's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
In that role, he has helped organize and work at student-athlete events. His activities have included working at a holiday dinner for the community and assist at Voloween, an on-campus Halloween event for children. He helped kick off the school year in August at the Welcome Back BBQ for fellow student-athletes. He also read to students at Claxton Elementary School.
It has been a big week of awards for Reese as he heads into the final months of his career. Monday night at Volscars, Tennessee's annual athletics awards program, he was named Mr. Tennessee and was the male athlete of the year along with senior doubles partner Mikelis Libietis.
Reese and Libietis were also named one of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame's amateur teams of the year.
The Vols open the SEC Tournament on Thursday against Alabama.
