February 11, 2015 | Women's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee and Kentucky women's basketball teams will forego their familiar school colors and don a different shade on Sunday, as the teams participate in the "Live Pink, Bleed Orange" breast cancer awareness game at Thompson-Boling Arena. Fans of both teams are encouraged to join the cause by wearing pink to the game.
No. 6/6 UT (20-3/10-0 SEC) and No. 10/10 UK (18-5/7-3) will face off at 3 p.m. at Thompson-Boling Arena in a game televised nationally by ESPN2. It will be rematch of an earlier game this season between the teams, one UT won 73-72 in Lexington.
In advance of the game, an online auction with proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen and Champions for a Cause will be held until Sunday, Feb. 22, at 9 p.m. Please go to CSTVAuctions.com to take part.
Fans also can nominate a survivor or person currently battling breast cancer to win tickets to the Kentucky game on Sunday. One winner daily will receive two tickets, and the contest ends Friday, Feb. 13. Email utathletics@utk.edu with the name and a short explanation as to why that person is being nominated.
Susan G. Komen Knoxville also will select two breast cancer survivors to participate in the guest coach program.

Shirts are sponsored by DISH, United Healthcare, Coca Cola, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Red Door Homes, Golden Flake and Threds.
