Four Vols Earn NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete Honors

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Four Tennessee softball players earned NFCA Division I All-American Scholar Athlete honors for the 2014-15 academic year on Tuesday as announced on the NFCA’s official website.

Representing the Volunteers were Meghan Gregg, Rainey Gaffin, Erin Gabriel and Lauren Irwin. Tennessee was one of nine programs in the Southeastern Conference to have multiple players earn recognition.

The honor was awarded to 5,493 softball players across seven membership divisions, who recorded a GPA of 3.5 or higher. A complete list of Division I players honored can be seen HERE.
