Who's Playing?
AJ Newell, Anna Newell, Hannah Pietila, Lucia Polo, Blakesly Warren
The three-day, three-round tournament will be held at the Yeamans Hall Club with 8:00 a.m. ET tee times for rounds one and two and a 9:00 a.m. ET shotgun start for Tuesday.
Senior AJ Newell, sophomores Hannah Pietila, Lucia Polo, and freshmen Anna Newell and Blakesly Warren will compete for the Vols.
"I don't think we have a weak link on this team, which is really exciting," head coach Judi Pavon said. "A lot of times you have three people you think are going to play pretty well and then you have a question mark in there. We are playing five girls that are all playing good. Any one of them could be our best player this week."
Twenty-three teams will compete on the par 72, 6,204-yard course. In addition to host College of the Charleston, the field features #7 Arkansas, Baylor, #21 UCF, Charleston Southern, #22 Clemson, Duke, #17 Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, #19 Mississippi State, Missouri, #25 North Carolina, #23 NC State, UNCG, Penn State, Tennessee, #2 UCLA, Virginia, #29 Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
"There are a lot of good teams in this field," Pavon said. "Eleven of them were ranked in the preseason top-30. We will be able to see a lot of our competition and where we stack up in there."

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- The Cougar Classic celebrates its 12th anniversary this fall and continues to embody the tradition of excellence that tournament founders John Rivers and CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell envisioned with the inception of the tournament in 2003. This year's edition of the tournament will feature 10 of the Top 25 teams from last year's final rankings including defending national champion, Duke. UCLA is also among the field and won the national title in 2011.
