- No. 8 Tennessee concludes its 2014 regular season schedule with a three game home series against Ole Miss from May 2-4. Tennessee will celebrate Senior Day and honor seniors Melissa Davin, Ellen Renfroe and Madison Shipman on May 3 before Game 2.
- The 2014 senior class of Melissa Davin, Ellen Renfroe and Madison Shipman is 192-47 entering this weekend's games. The trio's .803 winning percentage ranks third all-time among Tennessee softball four-year senior classes.

Sunday's game will be televised on FOX Sports/SportSouth with Dave Baker on the call and Cheri Kempf providing analysis.

- Tennessee is coming off series win at then-No. 9 Kentucky last weekend. UT took the first and third games of the series to improve to 9-2 on the season against ranked teams.
- UT enters this week tied for second in the SEC regular-season standings. Alabama has a three-game lead, but if Tennessee sweeps Ole Miss and Missouri sweeps Alabama, then Tennessee, Alabama and Missouri would share the 2014 SEC regular season title.
- Tennessee is 39-7 all-time against Ole Miss and 18-1 against the Rebels in games played in Knoxville. UT has won its last 11 games against Ole Miss, including a three-game sweep last season in Oxford, Miss.
- The 2014 seniors are 9-0 against Ole Miss in their careers. Davin owns a .542 batting average (13-for-24) with three homers, three doubles, 14 RBIs and eight runs against Ole Miss. Ellen Renfroe is 4-0 with a 1.81 ERA and 37 strikeouts over seven appearances and 27.0 innings pitched against the Rebels.
- Ole Miss has lost six-straight games and the Rebels are coming off three losses at LSU. Ole Miss has been run-ruled in five of its last eight games.
