- Tennessee (15-1) is coming off a 2-1 week in California that featured wins over Cal State Fullerton and San Diego State and a loss to BYU.
- The Lady Vols' 14-0 start to the 2014 season, which ended with their loss to BYU, was their fourth-best start in program history (24-0 in 2007, 23-0 in 2008, 16-0 start in 2005).
- Senior shortstop Madison Shipman was a force at the plate last week, hitting .556 (5-for-9) with three homers, five RBIs and four runs. Sophomore Lexi Overstreet hit .500 (5-for-10) with one home run, three doubles, three RBIs and two runs. Senior pitcher Ellen Renfroe went 2-0 over two starts with 15 strikeouts over 14.0 innings of work.
- UT is batting .329 as a team and averaging 6.31 runs per game. Freshman Annie Aldrete his hitting a team-high .459 (17-for-37) with five doubles, two homers and 14 RBIs. Freshman Megan Geer is batting .423 (22-for-57) with six doubles, one homer, 10 RBIs and eight stolen bases. Shipman is batting .396 (19-for-48) and lead the team with six homers and 16 RBIs.
- Tennessee pitchers have combined for a 1.58 ERA and 132 strikeouts over 106 innings. Opposing teams are hitting just .182 against the UT pitching staff. Senior ace Ellen Renfroe leads the way with a 9-0 record and a 0.71 ERA over 10 appearances and eight starts. All eight of Renfroe's starts have been complete games and she has fanned 76 batters over 59.1 frames.

Tennessee and Wright State squared off earlier this season on Feb. 16 in a 10-2 (5) UT win in Tampa, Fla. Hannah Akamine hit a two run home run in the Tennessee win.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
