KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee softball co-head coaches Ralph Weekly and Karen Weekly will host their annual Coaches Clinic on Dec. 19 and 20 at the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center.
The Weeklys and Tennessee assistant coach Marty McDaniel will speak on pitching, the speed game and softball fundamentals and demonstrate drills that the Lady Vols use in practice. The Tennessee coaching staff is a five-time NFCA Southeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year, dating back to 2005.
The Coaches Clinic will also feature a special guest speaker in renowned travel ball coach Mike Stith. Stith has 32 years of experience as a highly-decorated coach and softball instructor and has coached five teams that have won ASA National Championships. He is the founder of Team Mizuno and is the organization's Director of Player Development and College Recruitment. Stith is also the owner of Sports Training Complex (STC) in Anaheim, Calif., and has developed many top college softball players around the nation.
All coaches that attend the clinic will be allowed "inside the ropes" for the annual Christmas Camp to observe the Tennessee coaches in a camp setting with campers.
The price of the Coaches Clinic is $80 per coach and those interested can pay online with a card at www.tennesseesportcamps.com. Check payments are also accepted and should be made payable to the University of Tennessee. Checks should be sent to:
