Back in Action- Seven Vols are playing this weekend at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational: seniors Mikelis Libietis, Hunter Reese and Andrew Dromsky, junior Bartosz Sawicki, sophomore Sunay Bhat and freshmen Igor Smelyanski and Luis Valero. Reese is the top seed in the A1 draw and Libietis is No. 1 in the A2 draw. Libietis and Reese are seeded No. 1 in the A1 doubles draw.
- This weekend's tournament, a farewell to the outdoor fall season, includes multiple 16-player singles draws and 8-team doubles draws.
- While four Vols were in action last week, Friday marks the first tournament in three weeks for Dromsky, Smelyanski and Valero.
- Valero and Smelyanski both won three singles matches at their last event, the SEC Fall Classic. Smelyanski, a native of Beer Yaaqov, Israel, reached the quarterfinals.
National Title #3
- Seniors Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese are back on the courts this weekend, coming off of their third national doubles title together after winning their second title at the ITA All-American Championships.
- Libietis and Reese defeated five top-20 teams en route to becoming the first team in tournament history to win back-to-back titles. They beat Yannick Hanfmann and Roberto Quiroz of Southern California 6-3, 6-4 in the finals.
- The Vol pair is 5-0 this season and have 78 career wins, just two victories behind John-Patrick Smith and Davey Sandgren (2008-10) who are second on the Vols' career doubles wins list as a team. Individually, Libietis and Reese enter the weekend with 99 victories each.
Sawicki's First Title
- Bartosz Sawicki won his first career collegiate title Sunday when he strung together three victories at the UTC/Steve Baras Classic. He won the second flight thanks to a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 comeback over Cedric Dejacquier of Belmont.
- Sawicki now has a team-leading six wins this fall through three tournaments.
- This is Sawicki's first fall season for the Vols. He arrived in the spring of 2013 but had to wait a year in residency before he could start playing matches. He went 7-5 last spring as a sophomore.

- This weekend marks the first of two trips the Vols will make to Wake Forest's courts this season. Tennessee will return for an early-season non-conference indoor match on Feb. 8.
- Tennessee has won two 4-3 comeback wins at Wake Forest in 2010 (outdoors, old facility) and 2013 (indoors).
