KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Three members of the Tennessee soccer family will continue to chase their gold-medal dreams in Olympic quarterfinal action on Friday.
Incoming Tennessee freshman Hannah Wilkinson and New Zealand face a tough test against the U.S. Team at 9:30 a.m. ET. New Zealand advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-1 win over Cameroon on Tuesday.
UT alums Rhian Wilkinson and Marie-Eve Nault and their Canada squad take on host nation Great Britain at 2:30 p.m. ET.
With group play over, the tournament is now in the knockout rounds. So, it’s win or go home. The New Zealand-U.S. and Canada-Great Britain games are on the same side of the bracket, so there is a chance for an All-Tennessee Olympic semifinal on Monday.
For both games, fans can follow the action live on the NBC Sports Network or online at NBCOlympics.com.
