THE SAMFORD MATCH
- The Brian Pensky Era gets underway on Friday night under the lights at Regal Soccer Stadium when Tennessee welcomes Samford to Knoxville. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start. Come out and join us for the historic game.
- Friday's game features a Kids Carnival. Also, the first 500 fans receive 2012 Coach Pensky & Lady Vols First Game Commemorative Poster. Following the game, there will be a post-game Autograph Session with select players at Exhibit Hall inside stadium main entrance.

- Tennessee prepares to embark upon a new era of its program's history under the direction of new head coach Brian Pensky. UT brings back 17 returning players from a 2011 squad that went 15-7 with a top 16 seeding in the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Vols will open their season on Aug. 17 at home against Samford. Tennessee's SEC opener is Aug. 14 at home against Alabama.
- UT's four players on the SEC Watch List include senior midfielder Kylie Bono (3 goals, seven assists, 17 points in 2011), senior midfielder/forward Caroline Brown (11 goals, eight assists, 30 points), sophomore goalkeeper Julie Eckel (15-7 record, 105 saves, 0.94 GAA, .833 save percentage) and senior midfielder Amy Harrison (three goals, one assist, seven points).

TENNESSEE SOCCER FREE KICKS
- The Tennessee soccer team hit the water on Wednesday after practice, enjoying some fun in the sun with kayaking and canoeing at Concord Cove in Farragut, 15 miles from campus.
- The resilient Canadian women's soccer team and Tennessee soccer alums Rhian Wilkinson and Marie-Eve Nault earned bronze last week, defeating France, 1-0, on a thrilling closing-seconds goal by Diana Matheson. Wilkinson and Nault are the first UT soccer alums to earn Olympic medals.
- New UT striker Hannah Wilkinson saw action in three games at the 2012 Olympics with her native New Zealand. Wilkinson totaled 248 minutes of play with two shots and one shot on goal. Before she arrives on campus in September, she will represent New Zealand in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Japan from Aug. 19 through Sept. 8.
