SEC ESPNU Soccer and Volleyball Television Schedule Released

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference enters a new era with its unprecedented television agreement, and in conjunction with ESPN, has announced its live fall television lineup for SEC soccer and volleyball on ESPNU. This marks the first time SEC soccer and volleyball will be featured on ESPNU in a regular lineup.
The soccer schedule includes four regular season games and will conclude with the SEC Tournament Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Orange Beach, Ala., site of the 2009 SEC Soccer Tournament. Auburn and Ole Miss will kick off the soccer season in Oxford, Miss. on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. ET. Auburn will then host LSU in an Oct. 4 matchup, followed by Ole Miss at Tennessee on Oct. 11 and the defending SEC Champion Florida Gators travel to Georgia on Oct. 18. The final televised regular season match will feature South Carolina at LSU on Sept. 25.
The volleyball lineup will open on Sept. 20 with Kentucky at LSU, followed by Ole Miss at Tennessee on Sept. 27.
Volleyball will have three primetime matches as the defending SEC Champion Florida Gators travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on South Carolina on Wed., Oct. 7, and to Baton Rouge, La. for a meeting with LSU on Sunday, Oct. 11. SEC volleyball on ESPNU will conclude on Wed., Oct. 21 with Tennessee traveling to Kentucky.
In addition to the ESPNU schedule, the league will announce more television appearances for the two sports in the upcoming days, expanding its coverage by almost triple than that of previous years.
