Tennessee junior Keeley Dowling (Carmel, Ind.) continued her impressive start to the campaign by being named to Soccer Buzz Magazine's Elite Team of the Week and the All-American defender was also voted as the Lady Vol Athlete of the Week for the second time this year. Her efforts were instrumental in lifting the Orange to the title of its own First Tennessee Classic, an event in which she was chosen as the Defensive Most Valuable Player. In raising its record to 5-1 overall, Head Coach Angela Kelly's squad posted consecutive shutouts of Richmond (2-0) and Charlotte (3-0). Dowling anchored a Lady Vol defensive corps which permitted the Spiders and 49ers a total of eight shots in two matches and she chipped in with a pair of goals.
