Madeleine Horridge

Tennessee rowing head coach Lisa Glenn named Madeleine Horridge as a graduate assistant ahead of the 2021-22 season. The Brisbane, Australia, native rowed at Syracuse (2016-21), where she made three NCAA Championship appearances with the Orange.
As a graduate student in 2021, Horridge competed with Syracuse’s varsity eight crew, finishing 12th at the NCAA Championships and helping the Orange to a 10th-place overall finish at the event, the highest finish in program history. During the season, Syracuse achieved its highest ranking in program history at No. 8 in the country.
During the 2017-18 campaign, Horridge was a member of the second varsity eight boat that was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Year. Her boat took home first place at the ACC Championship and finished 11th at the NCAA Championships. As a junior in 2018-19, she competed in three regattas, highlighted by a 13th-place finish at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.
While also competing, Horridge served as part of the Dome Changeover Crew for Syracuse as a senior. The position facilitated set up and break down of gameday materials at the Carrier Dome, home of the SU football, basketball and lacrosse teams.
Horridge double majored, earning bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology in 2020. With the opportunity to return to school for another year, she received a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Intercollegiate Athletics Advising and Support in 2021.
