- Placed 35th overall in 32:27.6 at the 10K NCAA South Regional to close the year
- Also had a solid race at the SEC Championships, logging a career-best 8K time of 25:12.25 to place 30th overall
- After missing the Tennessee Invitational due to injury, returned to action at the Brooks Paul Short Run and scored in the fourth slot for UT

- Named Vol Outdoor Freshman of the Year
- Posted personal-record times in six of seven races during the indoor campaign
- Ran his 3000m best (8:33.67) and 5000 pinnacle (14:57.10) to place 13th and 14th, respectively, at the SEC Indoor Championships
- Lowered his mile PR to 4:25.90 at the Kentucky Invitational
- Had five PRs in six races outdoors
- Notched his first points in SEC competition, placing seventh in the 10,000 meters in the league outdoor meet in a career-best clocking of 30:54.32
