- Top times include 48.66 in the 100 back (Tennessee Invitational), 1:42.66 in the 200 back (Tennessee Invitational), 1:49.66 in the 200 IM (Tennessee Invitational) and 3:53.32 in the 200 IM (Tennessee Invitational). The times in the 200 back and 400 IM were NCAA B-cut results

2016-17 - FRESHMAN
SEC MEET RECAP
- In first SEC meet, finished 12th in the 200 backstroke (1:42.89) and placed 19th in the 400 IM (3:49.02), good for 21 team points
- Also finished 34th in the 100 backstroke (48.88)
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Competed in first five collegiate meets during the fall semester, primarily in backstroke and IM events.
- Concluded the fall by taking 11th in the 200 backstroke at the USA Swimming Winter National Championships
- Top times during opening semester included: 1:45.83 in the 200 freestyle (Auburn), 4:37.48 in the 500 freestyle (USA Winter Nationals), 50.33 in the 100 backstroke (USA Winter Nationals), 1:46.40 in the 200 backstroke (USA Winter Nationals), 2:00.70 in the 200 butterfly (Louisville), 1:56.80 in the 200 IM (Kentucky/Indiana) and 4:03.79 in the 400 IM (USA Winter Nationals).
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Three-time All-American backstroker who qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials in the 200-meter backstroke

- Murray on Why Tennessee: "When I came on my recruiting trip to UT, I felt as if I was part of a family, and I got an overwhelming sense that the team was moving in a very positive, and successful, direction."
- Kredich says, "Nathan is a fantastic backstroker and freestyler who caught our eye a couple of years ago because of his competitiveness and technical ability. He is an excellent student, a service minded member of the community, and a great team guy. I'm not sure how many Eagle Scouts we've ever signed but he's one of them. He will also help us fill the hole left by our senior backstrokers, and will give us more depth and possibilities in the freestyle events."
