Michael Houlie made his Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, competing for South Africa in the 100-meter breaststroke, finishing 37th overall. The three-time All-SEC honoree is one of the top breaststrokers in Tennessee history, ranking second all time in the 100 breast (51.26) and fourth in the 200 breast (1:53.97). The Cape Town, South Africa, native has been huge in the recent success of the Vols in the medley relays, as he's been a member of nine different lineups between the 200 and 400 medley relays that rank inside the top 10 in program history, including the program record in the 200 medley relay at 1:22.79.

Was a member of the squad that notched a sixth-place finish in the 200 medley relay with a 1:21.59 effort at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
Won gold at the 2023 SEC Championship in the 200 medley relay with the second-fastest time in SEC history (1:21.43) as well as silver in the 400 medley relay (3:02.51).
Was part of the 200 medley relay team that won with a time of 1:24.40 and took second place in the 100 breast, posting a 52.94 that was 0.03 seconds behind teammate Jarel Dillard against 11th-ranked Georgia (1/21/23).
Won the 50 LCM breast, touching the wall in 27.47 seconds, at the TYR Pro Swim Series (1/11-14/23).
Took home a second place finish in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 53.60 during the meet against Missouri (1/7/23).

Won the 100 breast during the meet against Georgia (1/25/2020) with a mark of 54.10.
Earned gold at the Tennessee Invitational in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 52.32. He also recorded the second-fastest time in the 200 breast (1:55.95).
During the meet against Georgia Tech (11/9/19), took home first place in both the 100 breast (53.21) and 200 breast (1:58.43).
