2023-24 - SENIOR
- Top times of season: 200 free (1:35.94), 500 free (4:14.90), 1000 free (8:58.64), 1650 free (14:56.76) and 400 IM (3:47.96).
- Saw action in the 500 and 1650 free during the NCAA Championships (3/27-30/24).
- Competed in three events during his time at the SEC Championships (2/19-24/24), swimming in the 500 free (4:17.63), 1650 free (15:11.86) and 400 IM (3:47.96).
- Won the 500 free with a time of 4:22.98 during the dual meet victory against LSU (1/27/24).
- Tallied a third-place finish in the 1000 free with a time of 9:02.08 in a dual meet against No. 7 Georgia (1/20/24).
- Finished first in the 1650 free (14:56.76), second in the 500 free (4:15.70), and broke the LCM school record in the 400 free in prelims during the Tennessee Invite (11/15-17/23).
- Earned the eighth-fastest time in program history after winning the 1650 free with a time of 14:56.76 at the Tennessee Invite (11/15-17/23).
- Threw down the top time in the 1000 free with a 9:08.19 effort during a dual meet against No. 13 Texas A&M (10/27/23).
- Placed second in the 800 free with a time of 8:11.52 and touched the wall in 3:58.06 to secure third in the 400 free in the season-opening LCM dual meet against No. 12 Louisville (10/12/23).
2022-23 - JUNIOR
- Top times of season: 200 free (1:36.96), 500 free (4:16.13), 1000 free (9:03.71), 200 fly (1:48.96), 200 IM (1:56.89) and 400 IM (3:50.04).
- Was the top finisher for the Vols for 12th in the 500 free during the 2023 SEC Championships, touching the wall in 4:16.95.
- Touched the wall in 15:18.82 to finish second in the 1650 free against Carson-Newman (1/19/23).
- Earned second place in the 500 free (4:16.13) and 1650 free (15:02.99) during the Tennessee Invitational (11/17-20/22).
- Placed first at the UNC Wilmington meet (10/1/22) in the 1000 free (9:27.84).
2021-22 - SOPHOMORE
- Top times from the regular season: 200 free (1:38.80), 500 free (4:21.17), 1000 free (9:02.45), 1650 free (15:00.33), 200 back (1:55.41), 200 fly (1:51.21), 400 IM (3:55.31)
- Recorded the tenth-fastest time in program history in both the 1000 free (9:02.45) and 1650 free (15:00.33) at Last Chance Meet (2/25-2/26/22).
- Posted the top time in the 1650 free( 15:00.33) against Carson-Newman (1/29/22).
- Had the fastest time in the 500 free 94:29.49) against Queens (NC) and Duke (1/8/22).

- Lance Asti: Joey was the final guy in our class to decide. He proved to be thorough and thoughtful through the recruiting process. He chose Tennessee over other elite academic schools and Joey will bring an incredible balance of academic and athletic ability. He has a tremendous engine and work ethic and will add some real firepower to the distance group.
