- Ranked as Tennessee’s top-rebounding perimeter player, averaging 3.6 rpg.
- Tennessee was 7-0 when he scored at least 15 points.
- Joined teammates Lamonte Turner and Admiral Schofield as one of three Vols to make at least 50 3-pointers on the season (51); they became the first UT trio to accomplish that feat since the 1999-2000 season.
- Scored in double figures in 15 games and made multiple 3-pointers in 14 contests for the Vols.

- Was a part of the highest-scoring freshman class in program history (1,140 points).
- His 22.8 mpg ranked third on the team, trailing only senior Robert Hubbs III (31.6 mpg) and fellow freshman Grant Williams (25.4 mpg).
- Shot a team-best .841 at the free-throw line (53-of-63).
- Made 35 3-pointers on the year, including 17 in SEC play--both ranked second on the team.
- Played just one minute against Missouri (2/18/17) and missed the Vanderbilt (2/22/17) and South Carolina (2/25/17) games due to illness. Those absences halted a streak of six consecutive games in which he played 30-plus minutes.

- Scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half to help the Vols beat Mississippi State (1/21/17); also notched seven rebounds.
- Made three 3-pointers en route to 14 points at Ole Miss (1/17/17). Also notched a team-high two steals.
- Went 3-of-5 from distance en route to 15 points at Florida (1/7/17). Also matched his season-high with three steals against the Gators.
- Scored nine points vs. Tennessee Tech (12/13/16) and his rim-rocking alley-oop slam off an in-bounds pass landed at No. 3 on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays.
- Named SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game against Presbyterian (12/6/16) and No. 7 North Carolina (12/11/16).
- Scored 12 points against seventh-ranked North Carolina, including 10 points in the first half on 4-of-5 shooting and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
- Dropped a season-best 21 points against Presbyterian (12/6/16), knocking down five treys along the way. Scored 11 consecutive points on four straight possessions in the second half, hitting three straight 3-pointers and capping the flurry with a steal and a breakaway dunk.
- Started all three games at the Maui Invitational, playing a season-high 36 minutes against No. 13 Oregon (11/22/16) and scoring 11 points to go along with six rebounds against host Chaminade (11/23/16).
- Earned the starting nod in just his second game as a Vol, scoring 14 points in 22 minutes of action vs. Appalachian State (11/15/16); he drained four first-half 3-pointers against the Mountaineers.
- Made his collegiate debut in the Vols' opener vs. Chattanooga (11/11/16), grabbing one rebound off the bench.
PREP SCHOOL
- Attended 22 Feet Academy of Shannon Forest Christian School in Greenville, South Carolina, where he was a member of the academy's National Team, coached by Ryan Schmidt.
- Averaged 17 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while leading 22ft to a 26-9 record.
- Drew interest from several high major programs after a 30-point performance at the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas in December of 2015 and also raised his stock at the Legacy Nissan Classic in London, Kentucky, earlier that same month.
- 22ft handed national powerhouse Oak Hill (Va.) Academy its only loss of the season, posting a 70-67 victory at the Phenom Hoops Showcase in Lewisville, North Carolina, on Nov. 14, 2015.
- Was a teammate of South Carolina signee Sedee Keita and Mississippi State signee Eli Wright.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Graduated from Carter High School, in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, where he was coached by Joby Boydstone.
- His performance as a senior in 2014-15 earned him All-State and District 3-AA MVP recognition, along with the nod for the Knoxville News Sentinel's 2015 PrepXtra Boys Basketball Player of the Year (the first player from Carter ever to receive that honor).
- Totaled 932 points as a senior in 2014-15, shot 55 percent from the field and averaged 26.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
- During his senior season, the Hornets advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class AA tournament, where--despite 26 points from Bowden--they suffered a 74-69 loss to eventual champion Haywood County; Carter's final record stood at 27-8.
- Bowden was held to fewer than 15 points in only four games in 2014-15, but he scored 30 or more 14 times; known for playing above the rim, he reeled off 10 consecutive double-doubles early in the season.
- Erupted for a school-record 54 points against Gibbs High School on Jan. 30, 2015; it was the first of two 50-plus-point performances on the year.
