A staple within the Tennessee football program, Roger Frazier is in his 46th year as a member of the Volunteers’ equipment staff in 2024.
Frazier serves as the Director of Equipment and Apparel for UT’s football program and is responsible for all football equipment issues and maintenance, in addition to handling the purchasing and inventory control of all football game and practice gear.Â
Frazier serves as President Emeritus of the SEC Equipment Managers Association and was a charter member of the organization, which more than doubled in size during his tenure as president. He also assists in new product development with Nike.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Frazier began his career in 1978 as student manager before being named equipment manager in the spring of 1983.
During Frazier’s tenure at UT, the program has been one of the most successful in the country, winning six SEC Eastern Division titles, five SEC Championships and the 1998 BCS National Championship.
In 2003, the equipment room was renamed the Roger Frazier and Max Parrott Football Equipment Room, given in their honor by Gordon, Melissa and Hannah Summerfield.
Frazier graduated from Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he played football. He and his wife, Donna, have two married sons: Brandon and wife Tabitha along with Barrett and his wife Jami.
