Myra Miles

Myra Miles enters her third season as the executive assistant to the head coach with the Tennessee football program following a distinguished career in high school education and athletics, as well as business.
She serves as the administrative liaison for head coach Jeremy Pruitt and manages many of the day-to-day operations of the football program.
Miles, who was inducted into the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2014, was a teacher, coach and administrator for 30 years before working in corporate training and leadership at TNT Fireworks from 2014 to 2018.
Her impressive career as an educator culminated with a successful stint as the athletic director at Hoover (Alabama) High School from 2008-14. She coordinated numerous national football broadcasts with ESPN and negotiated contracts with Nike and Under Armour as the athletic director at Hoover.
Additionally, she was a teacher and coach from 2002-07 at Hoover. Overall, the Bucs captured over 20 state titles in 10 different sports during her tenure.
Before her time at Hoover, Miles served as a physical education teacher and coach at Coffee High School (Florence, Alabama), St. James School (Montgomery, Alabama), Brooks High School (Killen, Alabama) and Haleyville (Alabama) High School.
Miles was on the AHSAA Central Board of Control from 2012-14, including a term as president of the AHSADCA (2013-14) and an officer for five years.
She was inducted into the Lauderdale County (Alabama) Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
Miles collected two degrees from North Alabama: a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health education, and a master’s degree in physical education.
