Mike Colosimo
- Title:
- Quality Control Analyst
Michael Colosimo enters his second year as an Offensive Quality Control Analyst for the Tennessee football program. Boasting dual-sport experience at the collegiate level and tutelage from some of the nation’s premier coaches, Colosimo has been part of the Volunteers recent resurgence into the national conversation.
A member of the Jim Chaney coaching tree, Colosimo was reunited with the Vols’ offensive coordinator in 2019 after previously working with Coach Chaney as a volunteer assistant at Pitt under head coach Pat Narduzzi.
Prior to coming to Rocky Top, Colosimo spent three seasons at Kentucky as a graduate assistant working closely with Coach Vince Marrow and the tight ends.
The Villa Hills, Ky., native was a two-year walk-on for the Cincinnati Bearcats in 2013 and 2014 under Tommy Tubberville, where he helped the team to a 9-4 season and earn a bid to the Military Bowl against Virginia Tech in 2014. He saw significant playing time in the Military Bowl after an injury to starting quarterback, Gunner Kiel, where Colosimo rushed for a team-high 54 yards on four carries and threw for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also joined the Bearcats baseball roster for a season.
Colosimo earned a degree in marketing from Cincinnati in 2015. He is the son of Dr. Angelo Colosimo who was a two-time first team Academic All-American running back at Colgate University.
