Danny Stiff

Danny Stiff was promoted to Tennessee’s director of player personnel in the spring of 2020 after serving as the assistant director of player personnel the previous two seasons on Jeremy Pruitt’s staff.
Stiff, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, oversees the Vols’ recruiting and roster management operations. He originally joined the staff in January 2018.
Stiff worked with Pruitt at Alabama prior to coming to Knoxville. He was a recruiting and personnel assistant during the 2017 season for the Crimson Tide, a year in which Alabama claimed the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Stiff was a defensive assistant at Jacksonville State from 2014-16, working closely with outside linebackers.
His familiarity with football in the state of Alabama stretches several years, including stints as a high school coach at Spain Park High School (Hoover), Hueytown High School and Gadsden City High School.
Stiff attended Auburn and earned his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Jacksonville State in 2014.
Stiff and his wife, Amanda, have two children, John Henry and Louise.
