Clay Bollinger
- Title:
- Director of Recruiting Content
Clay Bollinger enters his third season as the Director of Recruiting Content for the Tennessee Football program and eighth season in college athletics. Bollinger manages the social media and recruiting content strategy for the Volunteers football program.
In his two seasons at UT, the Tennessee Football social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) have generated more than 11 million interactions. His work has been integral in signing the Vols’ two top-13 recruiting classes in 2019 and 2020, including the eighth highest rated recruit in program history according to 247sports in 2019, Vols offensive lineman Darnell Wright.
Prior to coming to Knoxville, the Louisville, Ky., native served as an athletic communications graduate assistant for Clemson Athletics in 2017, where he later earned his master’s degree. While producing content and assisting in publishing duties for the most followed Twitter account in college football at the time, the Tigers went 12-2 that season, winning the ACC Championship and earning the No. 1 seed in the 2017 College Football Playoff.
A 2017 graduate of the University of Kentucky, Bollinger spent three seasons as a student manager and one as a student recruiting assistant with the Wildcats, helping to plan and prep for the 2016 TaxSlayer Bowl. While with the Wildcats, he helped put together one of the best recruiting classes in program history in 2017, which was ranked in the top 25 by multiple recruiting publications.
