Cameron Clemmons
- Title:
- Quality Control Analyst
Cameron Clemmons enters his fifth season with the Volunteers football program after joining the staff in 2016 as a graduate assistant. A former professional football player and notable collegiate athlete, Clemmons brings a variety of knowledge and experience as he begins his second year as an Offensive Quality Control Analyst for Tennessee.
He began his coaching career in 2015 as an offensive intern at Eastern Kentucky after signing with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent. Clemmons went on to play a year in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Ottawa Redblacks before transitioning into coaching.
A true student of the game, Clemmons participated in the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship with the New England Patriots in 2017, during his graduate assistantship with the Vols. The program's objective is to use NFL clubs’ training camps, offseason workout programs and minicamps to give talented coaches opportunities to observe, participate, gain experience and potentially gain a full-time NFL coaching position.
Clemmons finished his GA position in 2018, earning a master’s degree at UT in agricultural leadership, education and communication, before advancing into his current role as a quality control analyst.
Clemmons was a four-year starter and team captain on the offensive line at Western Kentucky from 2010-14, earning All-Conference USA honors in his final season. In 2013, he shifted from left tackle to right guard for the final nine games of the season, helping WKU set 18 school records on offense. In 2012, Clemons blocked on an offensive line that paved way for running back Antonio Andrews’ WKU single-season record 1,728 rushing yards
Clemmons played a total of 46 games for the Hilltoppers and capped off his collegiate career as the starting offensive tackle in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game in 2015.
The Mt. Juliet, Tenn., native, obtained a bachelor’s degree at Western Kentucky in biochemistry in 2014.
