- Full name is Kaitlyn Abigail Vanderkolk
- Daughter of Colleen and Kevin VanderkolkÂ
- Has four siblings. Connor, Carson, Claire, and twin brother KevinÂ
- Enjoys surfing, water skiing, reading, cooking, and swimming when she is not runningÂ
- Mom, Colleen, swam and ran at University of St. Thomas (MN). Dad, Kevin, was a professional mascot (Bango) for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA
- Why Tennessee. "I’m a Tennessee native and fan! Coach Amy was very supportive. I know Tennessee wins the best place to help me to reach both my academic and athletic goals!"Â
- Kaitlyn's twin brother, Kevin, is her biggest supporter and favorite running partnerÂ
