Ayva Jordan Called Up to U.S. Soccer U-20 Women’s World Cup Training Camp

ATLANTA, Ga. – The United States Soccer Federation revealed its roster for the upcoming U-20 World Cup on Wednesday afternoon. While Tennessee freshman forward Ayva Jordan was announced just outside the final roster, she will head to Poland to participate in the pre-tournament training camp as one of four alternate players.
The camp will be led by U-20 head coach Vicky Jepson, taking place August 26 to September 5. As an alternate, Jordan will return to Tennessee when the team's World Cup campaign begins September 6, barring inclusion on the final roster via roster replacement. Per FIFA tournament rules, roster replacements can take place up until 24 hours prior to a team's first match.
Jordan has started both of Tennessee's opening two matches to begin the 2026 season, making her collegiate debut in the team's 4-1 win over Rutgers and scoring her first collegiate goal in the Lady Vols' 2-0 triumph over South Alabama.
A native of Las Vegas, Jordan is widely considered as one of the best freshmen in the nation. Prior to the season opener, she was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Preseason Freshman Best XI. Additionally, she was ranked as the No. 6 overall player in the outlet's final 2026 class rankings.
Jordan will remain with Tennessee for their next two matches, beginning with a home contest against Milwaukee on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. ET. Her final game with the team before departing for camp will be on Sunday, Aug. 23, as the Lady Vols host Western Carolina for a 6 p.m. ET kickoff.
