"I'm thrilled," Tennessee head coach Alison Ojeda said of the bracket. "Old Dominion is a very talented team, it will be great to go up against them and work to win that match. Then to go up against Duke, another very talented team, I love it."

Â
The at-large tournament berth marks the 33rd all-time selection to the NCAA championship field for Tennessee. Tennessee has been selected for the NCAA tournament in each of the last nine full seasons (no tournament in 2020), dating back to 2017. All nine appearances in the current streak have come under the guidance of Ojeda, who has never failed to reach the NCAA Tournament field in her tenure on Rocky Top.
Â
The Lady Vols' 33 all-time selections have all come since 1989, including 20 consecutive selections from 1995-2014.
Â
Tennessee has advanced to the round of 16 or better on 14 occasions, including each of the last three seasons. The Lady Vols have reached the NCAA Quarterfinals on four occasions including each of the last two seasons, and have reached the final four in 2002 and 2024.
Â
The Lady Vols hold a 44-32 record in NCAA Tournament play, including a 35-20 record at regional sites.
Â
"This team, at every single spot, just needs to show up and be as good as they can be," Ojeda said of her squad. "We need to go out there and compete at every single spot, and if we can do that, then, then we can make a good run."
