#4 Tennessee Closes Saturday Races Against #1 Stanford

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The fourth-ranked Tennessee rowing team capped off its weekend with its race against No. 1 Stanford at Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Saturday.

Six races took place during the regatta, including the 1V8, 1V4, 2V8, as well as contests with the 2V4, 3V4, and 3V8. It was a close race early for the first varsity eight boat, with Tennessee leading after the first 500m. The Vols could come up just short in the contest, finishing with a time of 6:31.514 to Stanford's time of 6:27.795. The Tennessee 2V4 and 3V4 finished second and third respectively in their races, with the 3V4 boat outpacing Stanford's 3V4.
