Two VFLs Aim For Super Bowl LX Ring

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Former Tennessee standouts Joshua Dobbs and Velus Jones Jr. are seeking to add a Super Bowl ring to their accomplishments as the two square off in Super Bowl LX.

Kickoff between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks is 6:30 p.m. ET Sunday on NBC from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Dobbs is now in his ninth NFL season and seeking his first ring. He reunited with Mike Vrabel earlier this year as the two were together with the Tennessee Titans in 2022. Dobbs, a former 2017 NFL Draft pick, serves as the backup quarterback for the Patriots.

Jones Jr. is a running back on the practice squad for the Seahawks. He played two seasons with the Vols and burst onto the scene in 2021 when he was named first-team All-SEC and the SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Year. He joined Seattle in the fall.

Entering Super Bowl LX, a total of 40 different VFLs have combined for 50 Super Bowl rings, which ranks top 10 nationally.
