Tennessee Sets Six NCAA Top-10 Marks At Bob Pollock Invite

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee track & field posted numerous strong performances Friday at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina, and the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, totaling six NCAA top-10 marks along with 10 performances that cracked Tennessee's all-time indoor top-10 lists.
The Lady Vol duo of Esther Joseph and Javonya Valcourt dominated their 400-meter season openers at Clemson, finishing first and second, respectively, with a pair of personal bests. Joseph's time of 51.36 ranks second in the NCAA this season and second in Lady Vol history, while Valcourt's mark of 51.73 sits fourth nationally in 2026 and stands as the No. 3 mark all-time at Tennessee.
On the men's side, Andre Jackson II secured the win at Clemson in the 400-meter dash after posting a lifetime-best time of 45.82 seconds. His performance is tied for fifth in the NCAA this season and made him the No. 4 performer in UT indoor history.
Sophomore thrower Aidan Ifkovits recorded a marginal improvement on his personal record in the weight throw, heaving the 20-pound implement a lifetime-best 22.36 meters (74-3) to finish fourth at the meet. His mark ranks seventh on the 2025-26 NCAA Division I indoor performance list this season and improved his standing as the No. 2 performer in Tennessee history.
Lady Vol senior Myreanna Bebe became the No. 7 performer in the country in the women's 60-meter hurdles Friday, clocking a season-best 8.09 in the semifinals at Clemson. She finished sixth in the final with a time of 8.20.
The Vols continued to shine in the men's long jump, where Cade Gray and Justice Jones finished as the top two collegians at the Bob Pollock Invitational. Gray claimed first overall with a mark of 7.94m (26-0.75), while Jones leaped a personal-best 7.83m (25-8.25) that moved him to No. 10 on the 2025-26 NCAA Division I performance list and No. 9 in school history.
At Boston, three Lady Vols secured program top-10 marks in the distance events. Mary Nyaboke Ogwoka broke her own UT freshman record in the mile with a PR of 4:38.01, finishing first at the meet while ranking third in school history and third in the SEC this season. Senior Andie-Marie Jones shattered her indoor 5,000-meter personal best with a time of 16:05.90, ranking ninth on the Lady Vol all-time list. Graduate student Amelia Wills also cracked the program list in the 3,000-meter, setting the No. 9 mark in school history with a time of 9:16.58.
UT sophomore Kalib Branch rounded out the top-10 performances Friday in the men's 60-meter hurdles final at Clemson, finishing second with a lifetime-best 7.76 seconds. His time ranks 10th on the program's all-time chart.
