Paityn Chapman earned her third double-digit kill effort in her last four games with 11, while Hayden Kubik had finished with 10 or more kills for the second consecutive game.

Both teams traded points early in the second set before a 5-0 run midway through the frame gave the Lady Vols a 16-12 advantage. Tennessee distanced themselves in the third set, with a rock solid defensive showing. The team picked up nine blocks and 10 digs, creating a brick wall against the Winthrop offensive that could only muster 5 kills and a -.059 hitting percentage. Chapman guided the Big Orange offense picking up five kills, followed by the pair of Kubik and Plante with four each.
