KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – University of Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White announced Thursday the extension of head women's tennis coach Alison Ojeda's contract through 2030.
Through nine years at the helm of the program she competed for as a collegian, Ojeda owns a 163-76 (.682) record.
"The future of our women's tennis program has never been brighter, and that speaks to the outstanding leadership of Alison," White said. "We are excited to see her continue to lead the program for many years to come here on Rocky Top!"

"The University of Tennessee has been and always will be my dream job. I learned from so many amazing people while I was a student-athlete here, all of whom taught me how to strive for excellence in a respectful, competitive, passionate and energetic way," Ojeda said. "Now, as a coach, I feel incredibly fortunate to continue to be able to learn from so many peers in our athletic department. I'm so grateful for the opportunities I'm constantly surrounded by on Rocky Top. In addition, I'm very excited for the future of Lady Vols tennis and I'm incredibly appreciative to Danny White and Chancellor Plowman for their continued belief in our program. We have an amazing group of young women who give their all for Tennessee every day and it's a privilege to be their coach."
Along with guiding her team to consistent success on the court, Ojeda has aided her players to accolades off it, as well. The program has posted a perfect Graduation Success Rate each year of her tenure.
Tennessee claimed the 2017 ITA Community Service Award, while Tenika McGiffin was the 2022 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Esther Adeshina garnered the 2024 ITA Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award.
