#9 Lady Vols Serve 4-1 Victory At #71 Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The ninth-ranked Tennessee women's tennis team posted a 4-1 victory against No. 71 Missouri on Friday afternoon. The Lady Vols have now notched eight-straight victories versus the Tigers, a streak that dates back to April 8, 2017.
The Lady Vols (16-5, 9-4 SEC) produced the doubles point over Missouri (12-13, 2-12 SEC) with two new pairings. The tandem of Catherine Aulia and Conley Raidt etched a 6-2 victory against Andrea Artimedi and Inah Canete. Maeve Thornton and Vanesa Suarez logged a 6-3 win against Lailaa Bashir and Zoe Lazar to lock up the doubles advantage. Elza Tomase and Saray Yli-Piipari held a 5-4 ledger when play halted.
In singles, No. 6 Tomase extended the lead to 2-0 with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory over Mary Brumfield. Francesca Mattioli produced the third point, filing a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Bashir. Suarez clinched the match, delivering a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 triumph against Korina Roso.
No. 36 Aulia was the lone Lady Vol to drop a match, falling 4-6, 3-6 to Canete.
