Vanderbilt Matchup Sold Out
February 07, 2025 | Men's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee announced Friday morning that the men's basketball team's Feb. 15 game against Vanderbilt is a sellout.
Fourth-ranked Tennessee (19-4, 6-4) and Vanderbilt are set to square off in eight days at Food City Center. Action is slated for 1 p.m., live on SEC Network.
This is the sixth of seven confirmed sellouts for the Volunteers in 2024-25. Tennessee previously sold out its contests against Syracuse (Dec. 3), Arkansas (Jan. 4), Mississippi State (Jan. 21), Kentucky (Jan. 28) and Florida (Feb. 1). Meanwhile, the second-to-last home outing of the year, Alabama (March 1), is also on the list.
The only home game left with tickets still available is the regular season finale versus South Carolina (March 8). Limited tickets remain and fans looking to buy seats are encouraged to do so soon. They are available for purchase HERE.
After setting a then-arena record with five sellouts in 2022-23, Tennessee shattered that mark with eight in 2023-24. The seven this year rank as the second-most in Food City Center history.
Across their 21 prior sellouts in the last four seasons—three in 2021-22, five in 2022-23, eight in 2023-24 and five thus far in 2024-25—the Volunteers own a 17-4 record. That includes a 12-2 ledger in the last 14 such games, since Feb. 15, 2023. In total, Tennessee is 24-7 in home sellouts during head coach Rick Barnes' stellar 10-year tenure.
So far this season, Tennessee has hosted five of the nine of the largest single-game crowds at any venue in the country.
Tennessee, which plays in the third-largest on-campus arena in America, is sold out of season tickets for the sixth straight full-capacity season. In each of those five prior years, it has finished top-eight nationally in average attendance—it placed fourth in 2023-24 at 19,664—and is on pace to do so again in 2024-25.
The Volunteers begin a two-game road swing Saturday at noon ET at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla., where they take on Oklahoma, live on ESPN.
